Network Protocols
- IBM mainframe: TN3270, TN3270E, SSL/TLS and FTP/FTPS.
- IBM AS/400: TN5250E, SSL/TLS and FTP/FTPS.
- z/Scope communicates through standard 3270 and 5250 protocols for display and printer emulations.
- UNIX/Digital: VT52, VT100, VT102, VT220, VT320, VT420, ANSI Terminal Emulation. Secure Shell versions 1 and 2.
- FTP, Kermit, X-Modem, Y-Modem, Z-Modem file transfers.
Printer Management
Printer management capabilities integrated into z/Scope allows users to route print jobs to any local or network printer and allow local desktop printers to act as additional network print resources.
Enterprise users can customize settings and configurations for each printer or print job.
- z/Scope allows you to manage printing preferences by selecting and modifying different settings.
- In 'Printing Preferences' you can view, edit, delete and duplicate printer settings.
- You can select a printer from all your available printers.
- Print to default printer (just as you would with any other program).
- Screen Hard Copy Printing.
- Print jobs can also be exported as files and stored anywhere on the network.
