How to set up the Remote Printer functionality for VirtualUI 3.0

Thinfinity® VirtualUI 3.0 comes with great new features and one of them is the Remote Printer Functionality. With a few simple modifications, your VirtualUI application will be able to send print jobs directly to your local printer, saving you a second step.

We have many customers that have been asking for the possibility to send a one-step printing job to the local printer, and now with this new feature you will be able to print tickets, labels or any kind of files.

In order to accomplish this, you only need to add the following line of code:

type
PrintDialog1: TPrintDialog;
PrintDialog1.Execute;

After you added this to your published application, you can choose the .PDF file that you wish to print and select the Thinfinity® VirtualUI™ Printer:

And finally, check the Direct Print option at the bottom right of the screen:

And that’s it! You’re all set. You’ll be able to print any .PDF.
