Configuring Thinfinity Secondary Broker

This article presents the steps to configure Thinfinity Secondary Broker.

1

Set Thinfinity Workspace Role as Secondary Broker

Launch the Thinfinity Configuration Manager, navigate to the Services tab, select Secondary Broker, and select Apply.

2

Set the Network ID Parameter

In the General tab, go to the Gateways section and enter the same Network ID used in the Gateway configuration.

3

Commit Changes

Select Apply to finalize the configuration.

Important

As with the Primary Broker, all components must be installed within the same domain to ensure correct operation.

Communications Gateways: same [Broker] entries on every Broker

If the deployment uses Communications Gateways, the Secondary Broker needs the same [Broker] entries (CommGatewayURL_N, optional PublicCommGatewayURL_N, optional DefaultCommGatewayURL) in its own settings.ini as the Primary Broker. Each Broker process reads its own file and registers independently; a Secondary Broker without the list will not register with the Communications Gateways, and sessions it handles will not be reachable through them. See Registering Communications Gateway URLs in the Primary Broker article for the keys, the URL format, and the GeoIP interaction, or the JSON Parameters Reference for the equivalent silent-install parameter.
